Q. What is the difference between JIS B5 and Semi-B5 size? ▼ Tap to view
While they sound similar, they are not exactly the same size!
  • JIS B5 (Standard Japanese B5): Measures 182 × 257 mm.
  • Semi-B5 (Campus Standard): Measures 179 × 252 mm.

Our Semi-B5 is carefully designed to be just slightly narrower (3mm) and shorter (5mm). Always check the exact product dimensions before purchasing a non-Kokuyo cover or binder!

Q. How do I make sure loose-leaf paper or refills fit my binder? ▼ Tap to view
To ensure a perfect fit, please check the following two points before purchasing:
  • Paper Size: Make sure your binder and refill paper are the exact same size (e.g., A4, B5, or A5).
  • Number of Holes: This is crucial! Japanese loose-leaf systems use specific multi-hole patterns (e.g., B5 requires 26-hole paper, A5 requires 20-hole). Standard Western 3-ring or 4-ring paper will generally not fit!
